UX & Interface Design | Wilmington, NC
Designed to actually work.
UX research and interface design for products and websites people enjoy using.
The work
Good design isn't decoration.
UX is the part of design most businesses skip. They get a website built, it looks fine, and then wonder why people aren't converting or why customers keep reaching out with the same confusion. The answer is almost always that nobody thought carefully about how the thing works before they built it. We start with research: understanding who your users are, what they're trying to accomplish, and where they get stuck. Then we design, test with real people, and hand off something that actually holds up. A focused UX engagement is often the most valuable investment a business can make before a build.

Working in Wilmington
Local clients, real user testing.
One of the advantages of being based in Wilmington is access to real users for testing. For a product serving a local audience, testing with actual Wilmington users gives you better signal than a remote panel, and we can recruit those participants when it makes sense. We've done UX work for local hospitality businesses, professional service firms, and digital products serving the regional market. That local context shapes the research and the design in ways that matter.
Common questions
What people usually ask.
What does a UX engagement actually include?
At minimum: understanding your users through research (interviews, analytics review, competitive analysis), designing the experience, testing with real users, and handing off documented specs your developer can build from. Scope varies by project and we'll be clear about what makes sense for yours.
Do I need UX work if I'm just building a marketing site?
For a basic marketing site, a full UX engagement is usually overkill. Some strategic thinking about user goals, page hierarchy, and conversion still applies, though. We'll tell you honestly what level of process makes sense for your situation.
Can you do an accessibility audit on our existing site?
Yes. Accessibility audits are a standalone service. We review your site against WCAG standards and give you a prioritized list of what to fix and how to fix it.
Do you design in Figma?
Yes. We deliver annotated Figma files with component documentation. Your developer will know exactly what to build without having to guess at intent.
We already have a designer. Can you just do the research?
Yes. We can work at whatever phase makes sense: research and strategy, research and wireframes, or the full thing from discovery through handoff. Scope is always flexible.
